Vue.js
Vue.js
A JavaScript framework that makes it easier to build a website's look and interactive behavior.
In Simple Terms
Vue.js is a tool for building the look and interactive behavior of web pages. It's used in web services that need to update just part of the screen when a button is pressed, or show typed text on the page in real time. Because it keeps what's displayed on screen in sync with the underlying data, it's used for building dynamic web pages.
Behind the Name
Vue.js gets its name from the French word "vue," meaning "view" or "sight." It's called that because the framework specializes in building the "view" — the visual appearance of a screen. The ".js" at the end simply signals that it's written in JavaScript.
Take a Closer Look!
Vue.js is a JavaScript framework built to make it easier to construct the process of designing how a website looks.
It has a built-in mechanism that automatically keeps the data shown on screen in sync with its visual display, letting you efficiently build web pages with complex interactive behavior.
Broadly speaking, one of its key features is that you can split your code into separate pieces for each part of the screen. Buttons, input forms, and other elements are built as independent components, and a page is completed by combining them.
Breaking things into components also means you can reuse the same design or functionality on other pages. And when a fix is needed, updating the code for just that one component reflects the change everywhere it's used.
Vue.js also comes with a mechanism for adopting it gradually on its own, without combining it with other tools.
Rather than rebuilding an entire system from scratch, it's also used when you just want to add some interactivity to part of an existing website.
