Cybersecurity mesh is a way of connecting all the different security products a company has installed - often set up independently of each other - into one strong, net-like line of defense. For example, an identity management system, antivirus software, and a tool that monitors overall activity can all share information and work together. Instead of each product operating on its own, they act as one big "security team," creating an environment where people can work safely from anywhere.
Behind the Name
The name comes from "mesh," the interwoven, net-like pattern you see in fabric or a chain-link fence. Instead of building one big wall around everything, security gets woven in fine, overlapping threads across the whole environment, so any connection point stays protected no matter where it is.
