5G is the fifth-generation mobile communication standard, succeeding 4G, designed to handle more data at higher speeds. High reliability and low latency make 5G valuable for remote-controlled machinery and autonomous driving systems. Behind the Name

5G stands for 5th Generation. Mobile communication technology has evolved through generations: 1G started with analog voice calls, 2G brought digital communication, 3G enabled high-speed data, and 4G arrived with the spread of smartphones. Since 5G is the fifth in this series, it's called 5G!
